Dr. Michail (Mike) Klontzas is the Principal Investigator of ATI lab. He has received multiple awards and scholarships for his work, including the Burkett fellowship from Imperial College, the Manassaki fellowship from the University of Crete, the 3rd prize for best PhD from Imperial College, reviewer awards from the Radiological Society of North America, and the Young Researcher’s Grant from the European Society of Skeletal Radiology.
He has published more than 110 articles on PubMed, seven book chapters for international publishers, and is editing the book "Introduction to Artificial Intelligence" published by Springer under the auspices of EuSoMII. Additionally, he is one of the founding editors of the "European Journal of Radiology Artificial Intelligence", serves as a section editor for the “European Journal of Radiology”, a member of the editorial board of “European Radiology”, and has served on the editorial boards of “Radiology: Artificial Intelligence” (RSNA) and “RadioGraphics” (RSNA). He holds significant positions in international scientific organizations such as the eHealth and Informatics subcommittee of the European Society of Radiology (ESR), the ESR Research Committee, the Future Strategy Group of the European Institute of Biomedical Imaging Research (EIBIR), and he is board member and secretary of the Scientific Committee of the European Society of Medical Imaging Informatics (EuSoMII).
